Caudal Peduncle, a vibrant and engaging band, was formed in late 2019 with a unique inception. The band’s origin traces back to a retirement party at the Seattle Aquarium, where three colleagues—Diana, Mike, and Bob—decided to come together and create something special. A beloved coworker’s departure sparked Diana’s idea to form a band with a humorous, marine-themed name: Caudal Peduncle. Kevin, a long-time musical collaborator with Mike, joined the group from the beginning.

Diana, Mike, and Bob, who all still work at the Aquarium, share a love for music and performing. While this is Diana’s first venture into the world of bands, she brings a wealth of experience from the dance and performance production world. Mike, Bob, and Kevin add to this with their extensive experience as seasoned musicians. Mike and Kevin, in particular, have been playing and writing music together for years.
